Top 10 Tips On How To Get Noticed More On Facebook

I love Facebook it has to be my favourite Social Media platform.

Since Facebook launched 14 years ago, people have been sharing what they’ve had for dinner to that crazy night out to their friends and family on the biggest Social Media platform in the world.

97% of Facebook users don’t know how to use it to it’s full potential, so you aren’t alone if you feel that everything goes over your head or you just don’t get it.

For over 5 years I’ve been using Social Media to grow my businesses and now I enjoy helping and showing others how they can do the same.

Here are some of my top 10 tips on how to improve your engagement on Facebook and get noticed more:

  1. Be consistent with your Social Media. You touch your business everyday so do the same with your Facebook. You should be posting daily at least. If you struggle with time think of using a scheduling tool of you have a Business page or group.
  2. If you are posting more than once a day leave a 3 hours gap between posts. This allows your posts to gain the right engagement with your friends who in turn will comment and like your post. Facebook rank your profile higher the more activity you have going on within your posts and profile, this in turn will have more people seeing your posts.
  3. Facebook’s signature icon that we all recognise has to be the Thumbs up Like button. We can get very happy crappy clicking this button liking each other’s posts. Did you know that by clicking the LOVE  LAUGH  OR WOW   Emoji’s  instead will give you better ranking with Facebook as they see that you are spending time reading your friends posts, showing an emotion and adding value to the Facebook community they are creating.
  4. When someone comments on one of your posts, reply to them individually but don’t do it straight away, leave it a few hours. This will give your post more reach and appear on your friends timelines possible the next day meaning more people will see it. I’ve had posts that have had people commenting on them for days by doing this method of replying. A Facebook post should only last 12/18 hours if that.
  5. We can’t just take, take, take when it comes to Facebook, we have to give back by commenting on our friends posts too. Commenting on your friends posts show you are building relationships with others and Facebook see that you are helping build a community.
  6. We all love to share that video of the Cat playing the Piano or the latest video thats recently gone virual. When sharing anything to your Facebook timeline, your Business Page or even a group add your own wording to the text box. Facebook see sharing posts as you are taking time to share value with others, and helping them continuing to build their community you will be rewarded by gaining more engagement.
  7. Are you growing your audience and making new friends. Think of Facebook as another way of networking after all Facebook created the platform as an online social networking tool . We all have mutual friends on Facebook so start connecting.
  8. You have 3 seconds to sell yourself through your Facebook profile. People buy people and if your friends or new connections see what they like when they view our profile then they will want to become friends and in turn possibly use your business. Make your profile your shop window. I love sharing with others when I run my workshops how profiles can be used successfully in this way.
  9. Videos are expected to be at least 80% of all Social Media content in the next 12 to 18 months. Are you doing Facebook LIVES  or creating your own Videos? You should be doing a LIVE at least once a week with a maximum of 3 a week, leaving a day in between your LIVES. Go LIVE at the same time and day each week. Facebook will start to pick up on this, just like your favourite TV show and if you are consistent they will help engage your audience too.
  10. Make the most of your content and posts. Think about the layout and how easy they are to read. People scan read when on Social Media. Make your posts stand out by using paragraphs and emojis. This helps with getting more engagement and interaction from your friends.

Most of all be consistent and have fun with your Facebook.
